About Kenna McCall

I extract natural works of art from the Earth through the canvas of stone and interpret them into wearable art forms. I design and create unique artistically styled jewellery with rare and local gemstones, many of which I collect, cut and polish myself. For those stones collected by others, I make it a point to learn about where the stones originate and how they are extracted to ensure ethical and environmental responsibility. I use only Canadian silver in my designs to guarantee quality, authenticity and safety of the metal. As a woman of Celtic origin, I have visited many sacred sites in Great Britain and have learned some of the crafts that were practiced many centuries ago. I conduct my life in a manner which is respectful to humanity and the earth. I have also worked for many years to address societal inequalities, particularly for women and children. I have always considered myself as an activist and advocate for equality, fairness and respect for women and the earth from mainstream institutions.
