MiddleWorld Mysteries in Motion: Sharing Food
Mar 16, 2025
We share food when we gather together for MiddleWorld Mysteries. We often meet during meal hours, so consciously keeping ourselves fortified is a powerful act of community celebration, nurturing both individuals and collective spirit. We share stories and traditions, nourishing our bodies and deepening our connection to each other and to the community.
The energy of the food itself, prepared or purchased with care, love, and intention, transfers into the group. Each dish carries the energy of the person who brought it. A sense of shared effort brings us together in a way that emphasizes collaboration and mutual support and reinforces the idea that everyone plays a role with their own uniqueness in creating something meaningful. The act of giving food, and in turn receiving food, promotes a sense of collective responsibility and care. This exchange creates a flow of energy and reciprocity that uplifts everyone involved.
We have faith in what comes, trusting that if a full well-balanced meal arrives by chance, it’s what we all need. If a desert feast is in order, we’ll take it as a sign to remind us of the sweetness of the cycle. If salty snacks are plentiful, we recognize the joy that comes from munching. If the offerings are light, it may be time to consider a natural reset. Whatever arrives, our conversational sharings of the gathering often match the nature of the food that feeds us. Here’s to gathering around the table together!
Tucked within the folds of Ninth Wave Arts programming is our MiddleWorld Mystery of the Storied Lands offering. This offering is more than a program. It’s a growing community remembering itself as part of cycle and the greater population of seen and unseen beings. We strive to have good relations with each other, the spirits of place, lineage lines and the ancient ones.
