Words From the Dragon: Sticking Together
May 27, 2024I watched you humans through this past moon cycle and noticed many times that you were collecting images and bringing them together in what you call a ‘collage’.
From where I stand, I see one of these collections being added to regularly, gathering more images upon a wall, tokens of moments. I get the sense that you are being inspired by dreams, thoughts, impressions, likes, happenings, and inspirations. I like it. I like that you are making an effort to ‘stick together’. That’s the origin of that word collage, in case you didn’t know, to stick together. I think I’ll take some credit for this.
I like to think you’ve been listening to me these past months.
I’ve told you to get over yourselves and remember the bigger picture. I’ve told you to honour each other and all beings. I’ve told you to take your place in the rhythms of the cycle of nature. I’ve told you to remember you are part of a bigger community. I’ve told you to be in right relations to that bigger community because that brings magic.
And now I’m telling you to keep sticking together.
Keep up with that collage thing. Bring it off the paper or wall and into your lives. It feels hard for you humans to do that sometimes. You have a habit of letting yourselves stay small and individual instead of sticking together and being big as a collective. The most beautiful collage comes from multiple pieces, each collected from its own pathway of inspiration, joining together to make a whole tapestry. At least from my point of view.
It’s like that food thing you humans do. I watch you regularly gather a collage of food. Different foods stuck together to make a whole meal. It’s worth it. I notice you all seem nourished well by that. How ‘bout you ‘stick together’ in other ways that might nourish you too?
As all the new babies are arriving now, it feels important that we all stick together and take care of our way forward.
Human to human. Human to nature. Human to dragon.
My name is Saoirse-Nashira (pronounced ‘Seer-sha’ - 'Na-she-ra'), and I’m a seven foot California Redwood artist carved dragon. I stand at the door as a gatekeeper to watch the daily meanderings. I come from a great forest of trees and have travelled far and wide.
